Photos: Borno State Govt reacts to the photo of Assembly Deputy Speaker 'kneeling' before Governor Shettima.

Borno State Government has reacted to a photo making the rounds on social media which seemed to show the Borno State Assembly Speaker kneeling before Governor Kashim Shettima.

After the cut is a statement and original photos posted on Facebook by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Yusuf Usman Shettima: (but I don't get the explanation though. Whether someone else was there or not, the Speaker was kneeling/squatting...why?)

"This was original of the picture they edited to furment mischief.
Governor Kashim Shettima was speaking to the son of the Late Professor Tijjani Elmiskin, he didn't even know the Deputy Speaker was around him as everyone can see not to talk of the Governor being an emperor. The Deputy went in and joking squatted (like is common in northern tradition) even though his was to tease the Governor as he often does calling the Governor his grandfather's name sake.
The charlatans cropped the picture out of contest. The two other pictures show the Governor’s attention was fully on the two children of Professor Elmiskin who visited the Governor last week Tuesday.
The children demanded to have their pictures taken while they were chatting with the Governor, the Governor didn't know when the Deputy Speaker bent down to tease him. So who is the emperor, Shettima or those cheap blackmailers that have run short of what next to say"
