Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly expressing an interest in Sassuolo’s Gregoire Defrel, according to reports in Italy.
The thought suggests the Premier League duo are keeping a close eye on the forward, who ha enjoyed a fine start to the season, scoring four goals in all competitions.
However, they face a fight to lure him away from Sassuolo as they have no intention to sell the 25-year-old in January.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have had scouts watch the Frenchman on three occasions this term, and it seems they’re impressed with his goalscoring form.
Arsenal fans would rather more big names, but it could be that Wenger will try his luck on this emerging star in January.
