The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday granted bail to a former Presidential Spokesman, Reuben Abati, after being detained for close to a week.

Before the anti-graft commission granted him the bail, he was asked to drop his International Passport and also produce a surety of not below Level 16 in the Civil Service as part of the conditions – for his release.
As soon as the EFCC released the former spokesman, the anti-corruption agency got a warrant to further detain former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed.
The EFCC had arrested Abati on Monday on allegations that he received N50m from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
