Jonathan’s Ex-Spokesman, Reuben Abati To Spend The Night In EFCC Custody.

Dr-Reuben-Abati
The former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Media, Dr. Reuben Abati, has been arrested by detectives of theEconomic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Mr. Abati, was arrested on Monday and is expected to spend at least tonight at the office of the anti-graft agency.
The detention of the ex-spokesman, who was spotted at the premises of the commission at about 5:30pm this evening, may not be unconnected to the anti-corruption campaign of the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration which has intensified with a clampdown on some public officials from the previous administration.
Following his apprehension, three former aides of Mr. Jonathan are now currently in EFCC custody.
It would be recalled, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, a former Minister of State for Defence, had been arrested and is still detained by the commission since last week Monday when he voluntarily surrendered himself after staying months away from the country.
Also, Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Jonathan campaign spokesperson, was arrested on Friday and is still with the commission.
